Chicken Satay Recipe

A great and tasty way to enjoy our organic chicken breast. A quick marinade and home made satay sauce...

Ingredients:

For The Marinade..

450g Organic Diced Chicken Breast Fillet

3 Tbsp Fish Sauce

1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce

Juice of a Lime

2 Tbsp Turmeric Powder

1 Tbsp Fresh Ginger Grated (Or use the easy cooks ingredients one)

1/2 Tbsp Lemongrass Paste

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

 

For The Satay Sauce:

5 Tbsp Crunchy Peanut Butter

1 Red Onion Diced

1 Tbsp Fish Sauce

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

Sriracha Sauce (To your taste)

 

Method:

Mix the marinade ingredients in a large mixing bowl and refrigerate for 30-60 mins.

If using wooden skewers first soak them in water. Make the satay sauce by taking a non stick pan and frying the onion and peanut butter until the peanut butter combines well with the onion. Add the fish sauce, sriracha sauce, lime juice and stir. You may need to add some water to achieve the desired consistency. Set aside and keep warm.

Place the chicken pieces on the skewers you can choose to do whatever size portions you want and you can also intersperse the meat with onions or peppers etc. 

Cook on the BBQ or under the grill until golden brown and enjoy!
