Healthy Asian Chicken Mince Wraps

If you are looking to switch to a healthier cuisine why not start here with a tasty midweek supper idea using our low fat chicken mince!

Ingredients (Serves 2-3):

  • 350g Springfield Organics Chicken Mince
  • I Large Onion Finely Diced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Crushed
  • 1 Stick Celery Finely Chopped
  • 125g Tinned or Fresh Bean Sprouts
  • 1 Medium Carrot Cut Julienned Style
  • 1 Long Red Pepper Cut The Same Size as the Carrot
  • 1 Small Red Chilli Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable or Groundnut Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • To Serve - Crispy Iceberg or Romaine Lettuce

Method:

Using a large saucepan or wok heat the combined oils in the pan on a high heat and add the onion, carrot and celery. Working quickly add the garlic, chilli and the mince. Keep turning until the mince starts to brown and add the remaining ingredients until cooked through. Use some water if the sauce looks too dry.

Serve with the lettuce, chopped spring onion, sesame seeds and some spare hoisin to taste.
